It looks like, that Denmark have become an experimental free-zone, please help us to release Karina Hansen out of the hands of Per Fink and hes projekt supportet by the state of Denmark, medical-industries and security-compagnies. The silence will hurt meny other people in Denmark, mainly from the working-class..so sad to say
As an ME/CFS patient, this entire situation is just terrifying, and it's a huge black mark for Denmark that it's ongoing. I imagine people trying to cover up the harm the did by allowing Karina to die in her imprisonment, and literally burying the problem. Please don't let this happen. I can't imagine what sort of terror ME patients who live in Denmark must be feeling - especially now, when the Rituximab trials in Norway are finally giving us hope for an effective treatment. The entire world is watching.
As well as the WHO classification, there are thousands of clinical, studies from around the world showing that ME is a physical, biomedical illness and is NOT a psychiatric disorder. Please release Karina into the care of her parents so that an expert clinician who is well informed about the biomedical nature of ME can examine her and assist in her care.
First comments were listed as reply to Maureen Goggins. I want to make sure my individual signature counts. Stop this violation of Karina Hansen's basic human rights. Denmark stop holding a physically sick young woman against her will, in a psychiatric facility. People around the world are watching in disbelief, thinking the wrong person is in captivity. Who is the real person or persons with false illness beliefs in Denmark? Gina Bettor USA
The treatment Karina and her family have received is horrendous. Please put an end to this abuse. Do the right and just thing. Thank you. Sandra Duma, United States
Signing in as a "Healthy Ally" of ME/CFS... still very new to the group, but very, very much committed to helping in any way I can. When someone with ME/CFS is willing to put their life on the line and undergo a potential cure, there can be no doubt that it is real, and still very much mis-understood. Do what's best for Karina, and let her go back to her family.

Free Karina.Norway is leading the world looking for a cure for ME. Denmark is becoming known as the barbaric country who rips children from their families and imprisons them with no visitors for being physically ill. Free Karina NOW. Andrea Mardon, Scotland UK.
We expect your country to do the morally and medically correct activity regarding Ms. Hanson, and return her to the care and safety of her family before the end of this month. Anything less is simply not acceptable. Ms. K. Stewart, Grass Valley, California, U.S.A.
Rosemarie East, West Wales, UK. This letter to bring justice for Karina Hansen, and her immediate release back to the care of her family has my full support
All that time they kept her as a Guinea pig and still she suffers. So many of us have gone from mild ME to severe ME caused by GET which happened to myself. Severe now 10 years. Free her back to her parents to care for her
Carmel Hillary England UK Ex Advance Personal Trainer/ Sports Therapist
Nancy Blake, England, UK. The US Institute of Medicine report states that ME/CFS is a disease in which exertion of any kind may adversely affect many organ systems in the body. Karina has evidently been severely harmed by forced exertion by Per Fink. Now unable to speak or respond in any way, early in her time there she is reported to have said to those treating her 'you are killing me'. This was reported as indicating progress because it was a complete sentence, while her silence between these rare and difficult utterances was interpreted as 'consent to treatment'

Come on Denmark, this is the 21st century, not the dark ages. The evidence is in on ME, and as anyone who has suffered from this disease can tell you, it is certainly not Psychological. It is real, debilitating beyond belief, and ruins the lives of it's victims. Marisa Yeaman, Melbourne, Australia.
The psychiatric treatment has been tried for 3 years and Karina is not getting better. Time to release her and try other, humane care. M.E. is a physical illness and needs compassion and sensitivity in its management.
This is a living nightmare, and a concern for patients and families of patients with ME everywhere. An official inquiry is on order, with prosecutions if necessary. Alex Young, advocate, Queensland, Australia.
Mary Barker, USA - I watched the entire series of Borgen, the political drama which portrayed Denmark as a compassionate, progressive country - but the treatment of Karina Hanson is beyond barbaric. Please show yourself as the enlightened country you portray yourself as, and release Ms. Hanson - ME/CFS is not a psychiatric illness, no more than AIDS or cancer, and serious and perhaps irrevocable harm is being done to Ms. Hanson by her current "treatment".
A betrayal of genuine medicine allowing 'witchcraft' Doctors to kidnap and take over this young lady and hold her prisoner against hers and her families wishes. Help her get home and get to her Doctors who understand her physical disease and can support her with dignity and compassion, as proper medicine dictates: 'First do no harm'. How barbaric a contrast this situation is. Help Her!
Please release Karina now and let her be cared for by her parents and ME medical experts, in the hope that she can know peace again and then perhaps, recovery.
A human rights watch group should be allowed to see Karina and independently access the situation. I am sure they will find numerous, serious violations. And she should be allowed a second opinion from an ME expert. As long as the people involved in this case go unpunished, then no ME patient in Denmark is safe.
Please take heed of our plea. We who do suffer from ME know that this is NOT a psychiatric disorder but a physical one. How can a free country keep a young lady imprisoned for 3 years due to a disease? This is so very wrong.
I appeal to your conscience and ask you to release Karina and to allow her return to the family. In my view, it's a violation of human rights to ignore international studies, to involve no ME-specialists, and to torture Karina for such a long time.
Sarah LaBelle Oak Park Illinois USA Denmark is usually a leader and should be in Karina's case. Please let her family care for her as she endures this disabling disease.

Free Karina Hansen, return her to the loving arms of her family. Locking away a patient with such terrible physical symptoms in a psychiatric ward is reminiscent of the worst of repressive regimes. Shocking. Julie Guntrip BA MA (Oxon) CPFA. London England
